can anyone please help with downloading joomla?

does anyone know how i can download joomla. have been at it for 2 days. no result. the tutorial on their website is based on the 1.5rc4 version which is no longer present on their website for download,

in a nutshell. i have downloaded xammp package which is the standard requirement. but i am really struggling to download joomla

Go to http://joomlacode.org/gf/download/frsrelease/10547/41305/Joomla_1.5.12-Stable-Full_Package.zip

to download the latest full installation of joomla.

Then unzip/uncompress the zip file to your local hard drive.
Follow these instructions to upload it to your webhost

Follow the instructions listed below to complete the installation:
