I am trying to install joomla 1.5, Object not found, error 404?

May 20, 2009 | Install Joomla 1.5

I have already installed Xampp, it gives me this error when i try to start installing joomla. https://localhost/ works fine but when i type in https://localhost/joomla15, this error comes up. Pls Help

try http://localhost/joomla15 . you may be put files in the non – secured server space. Or confirm that you have placed joomla files on c:/xampp/htdocs/ and folder name is ‘joomla15′.

    Did you install joomla in the root htdocs? i guess its pointing out on a wrong folder thats why you keep getting 404 error. if you installed joomla in the joomla15 directory, you can access it by http://localhost/jooma15/installation/index.php, if the xampp server is running installation should be fine.
